Feminist forums with the slogan of “Women’s bodily integrity, labor and identity is a prerequisite of federal republic democratic Nepal” was organized starting from 9th February to 7th April. These forums have been taken as an opportunity to plan and strategize to ensure country gets transformed from women’s and marginalized peoples perspective or it can also be said from the perspective of those who were affected by long-standing feudal, Unitarian, fundamentalist capitalist patriarchal mindset. To prevent this it was/is very important to make elected women understand women’s issue from women’s perspective, meaning of social transformation, that too giving examples of their own party manifesto and constitutional provisions. It was/is clear need to provide proper orientation on their rights, roles and strategies and make them feel that they are supported by the movement, and then they can play a pivotal role to ground democracy, social justice and equality from below.
Each forum ended with the promulgation of declaration and code of conduct which also served as a guideline for the local level to start their work.Following are the issues of discussion in each province:
